Hard bottom back seat extender with a folding, removable base of rigid synthetic plastic and a waterproof quilted 600D Oxford cover with raised hammock sides. The base is rated to hold up to 127 kg, so a Labrador, a German Shepherd or two smaller dogs have room to stand, turn around and lie down full length.
The deck is firm by design, which is what stops the sag, and the quilted cover gives paws grip. For senior or small dogs, add a soft mat on top.

No tools needed. Just buckles, straps and the metal rings already on the cover.

Step 1Buckle to the back headrests
Clip the plastic buckles around the back seat headrest bars to hold the top of the cover. Fixed headrests? Unclip the buckle, wrap the strap around the whole headrest and clip it back. Push the seat anchors into the seat crease.

Step 2Clip to the front headrests
Fasten the metal buckles around the front seat headrest bars to anchor the front, so the hard base sits flat over the footwell.

Step 3Secure the door sides
Run the side strap through the grab handle above the door and clip it to the metal ring on the side panel, so the doors are covered too.

Step 4Hop up and clip in
Let your dog settle in, then click a tether into the seat belt buckle through the opening and clip it to their harness.

Questions, answered
Will it fit my car?
It fits most cars with a bench back seat: sedans, estates, SUVs, hatchbacks and double-cab pickups. Check your back seat is about 130 cm across and there's at least 62.5 cm from the seat edge to the front seat backs. It isn't designed for 2-door coupes or captain's chairs.
Can my front seats still slide back?
Yes. The base is 62.5 cm deep, so it fits as long as the gap from your back seat edge to the front seat backs is at least that, with the front seats where you drive.
My headrests don't come off. Will it still attach?
Yes. The straps use clip buckles, so you can unclip them, wrap the strap around the whole headrest and clip it back.
My back seat is curved or has a centre hump. Will the base sit flat?
Yes. The base spans from the back seat to the front seat backs, so it stays flat on curved seats and over a raised centre hump.
Can a big dog stand on it?
Yes. The hard base is rated to hold up to 127 kg, so large breeds can stand, turn and lie down on it.
What is the base made of? Will it sag?
Folding panels of rigid synthetic plastic, rated to 127 kg. They bridge the footwell instead of hanging over it like a fabric hammock, so the deck stays flat.
Is it slippery, or too hard to lie on?
Not slippery: the quilted cover gives paws grip. The deck is firm by design, which is what stops it sagging. Senior or small dogs may be comfier with a soft mat on top.
Can my dog jump into the front?
The panels reach the top of the front seat backs (below the headrests), but they don't fully close off the front, so a determined dog can still get over. That's why two tethers come in the box: clip one to your dog's harness and they stay on the deck.
How does my dog get in and out?
Your dog hops up from the open door onto the deck, at about seat height. For senior dogs or dogs with joint problems, a pet step or ramp makes it easier.
Is it crash-tested?
No. RideDeck is a seat cover and platform for comfort and keeping your car clean. It isn't designed or tested to protect your dog in a collision. Use the tethers with a well-fitted harness.
Will it slide around on the seat?
The non-slip backing grips the seat, and the seat anchors tuck into the gap at the back of the seat to help stop it shifting.
Is it waterproof?
Yes. The 600D Oxford cover is waterproof, not just water-resistant, and the raised hammock sides keep spills and mud inside instead of running onto your seats.
Will the door panels scratch my windows or tint?
No. The door panels only cover the door itself, below the window, and they're held by a strap to the grab handle, not by clips on the glass.
Does it smell or rattle?
There's no unpleasant smell out of the box, and because the outer shell is fabric, it doesn't rattle on the road.
Does it block the air conditioning?
No. The mesh windows let air from the front and the rear console vents flow through to your dog, and they can still see you.
How do I clean it?

Can people still sit in the back?

How do the seat belt tethers work?
Reach your car's seat belt buckle through the opening in the cover. Each adjustable tether clicks into the buckle at one end and clips to your dog's harness at the other. Each is 1 m long with a metal clip, and there are two, so two dogs can ride clipped in.
What if it doesn't fit my car?
Returns are free within 60 days. We'll arrange a courier to collect it from your door and refund you in full.
