She used to leave her plush bed for the kitchen tiles every afternoon. Now she naps on this instead, chin on the pillow edge. The cover zipped off and washed fine.
A smooth woven fabric that feels fresh the moment they lie down, unlike fluffy plush.
A raised, rounded rest at one end for their chin and neck, while the rest stays open for sprawling.
An open, textured weave lets warmth escape instead of holding it in.
The cover zips off and goes in the washing machine, so fur, drool and summer dust come right out.
How it feels cool
Plush beds hold body heat close, which is lovely in January and less so in July. ChillNest's woven cover feels cool against fur and skin, and its open texture helps warmth move away rather than build up underneath them.
There's no gel, water or electricity inside, so there's nothing to leak, recharge or chew through.
Hot-weather noteA comfortable bed isn't a substitute for shade, fresh water and a cool room. If your pet is panting heavily, drooling a lot or seems weak in the heat, contact your vet straight away.
Size guide
Measure your pet lying down, stretched out, from nose to the base of the tail. Pick a size whose sleeping area is at least that long; their chin can rest on the pillow edge. If they sprawl or sit between sizes, size up.
| Size | Outer size | Sleeping length | Pet weight | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| M | 45 × 30 cm | about 36 cm | Up to 4 kg | Cats & toy breeds |
| L | 60 × 40 cm | about 48 cm | Up to 8 kg | Small dogs & large cats |
| XL | 75 × 50 cm | about 60 cm | Up to 15 kg | Small to medium dogs |
| XXL | 90 × 60 cm | about 72 cm | Up to 22 kg | Medium dogs |
Over 22 kg? ChillNest won't be big enough, and we'd rather tell you now than have them hang off the edge.

For dogs who leave their fluffy bed for the cool floor.

Our cat claimed it within an hour and stretches out on it by the bed every evening. It's a little smaller than I pictured, so check the sleeping area before you order.

He sploots on it after every walk. It took about a day to fully puff up after unboxing. The fabric feels cool to the touch, not cold.

It feels cool to lie on and doesn't trap heat the way plush does, so many pets find it more comfortable on warm days. It doesn't chill the air or lower body temperature the way shade, water and a cool room do, so keep those coming in hot weather.

Not really. Our largest size, XXL, is 90 × 60 cm (35 × 24 in), which suits dogs up to about 22 kg (48 lbs). For bigger dogs, a flat mat-style bed will fit better.
It has memory foam inside that shapes to your pet and springs back, but we don't call it orthopedic because it isn't designed or tested as a treatment. If your dog has joint problems, ask your vet what kind of support they need.
The cover is. Spills and little accidents stay on the surface instead of soaking into the memory foam. Wipe up, then unzip the cover and machine wash it.
Yes. Unzip the cover and machine wash it on a gentle, cool cycle, then air dry. Skip the tumble dryer to protect the cool-touch fabric. The memory foam inside can't go in the machine: spot clean it if needed.
It's vacuum-packed to ship. Unroll it on the floor, take off the plastic and give it 24–48 hours to expand fully. Any new-foam smell fades as it airs out in a ventilated room.
Yes. It's comfortable year-round, especially in heated homes. For cold floors and chilly evenings, our SnugNest memory foam bed, coming this winter, is the warmer pick.
